Waikari

Waikari is the final stop for the popular Weka Pass vintage steam railway, and the area is a photographers’ dream – resplendent with remarkable limestone rock outcrops and some of the most breathtaking sunsets over the ranges and hinterland.

The stunning vistas can readily be taken in from the Weka Pass Walkway, and you can also climb up a local hill to view ancient Māori rock drawings in the Weka Pass Reserve.
