MAJOR DISRUPTIONS
Douglas Road, Amberley
Due to a new watermain that is being trenched under the railway line at Douglas Road, Amberley, there will be changes to the usual flow of traffic. These may involve lengthy delays and long detours to meet KiwiRail requirements. To provide the least amount of disruption to traffic as possible, this work is timed to take advantage of the school holidays.
START: Monday 13 January 2025.
END: Friday 31 January 2025 (or earlier if possible).
Work hours: 7am - 5pm weekdays. The road will re-open overnight and weekends. Please be aware the road layout might be altered during this time.
Delays: the onsite crew will do their best to keep any delays as short as possible, however, due to the nature of the work, longer delays may be unavoidable.
Detours: Due to the location of this work the available detours are considerable as traffic is directed around the site via the closest sealed roads.
Emergency vehicles will be accommodated as required.
Updates: An interactive map will be regularly updated for real-time information.
Please follow all onsite signage and reduce your speed.
