banks for loans under the Business Finance Guarantee Scheme. This is set up to
support the New Zealand economy during the COVID-19 pandemic & protect New
Zealand businesses, jobs and the economy during this unprecedented global
economic shock. The Business Finance Guarantee will help businesses with cash

Essential workers leave scheme
Essential workers who take leave from work to comply with public health guidance are being supported by the Government with a leave scheme to ensure they will continue to receive income. The scheme ensures essential workers do not feel pressured to come to work if they are vulnerable, sick or otherwise unable to work. Employers will access the scheme and be paid at the same rates as the COVID-19 Wage Subsidy. This is available from today Monday 6th April. For more information please visit www.covid19.govt.nz
