Council encourages residents to mow the berms outside their property, which not only helps keep the Hurunui looking tidy but also helps keep rates down.

Planting on Road Reserve

Occasionally Council will allow residents to plant the berm fronting their property. This is on condition that the property owner takes responsibility for ongoing maintenance.
