Temporary road closures
Making an application to temporarily close a council road.
Before approval to close a road for any activity, written requests are put before council and must be publicly advertised for objections. The request must be with Council 30 working days before the event to allow time to carry out the requirements of the Transport Regulations 1965.
The Temporary Road Closure sub-committee considered and approved the following applications:

Marlborough Harrier Club Inc. Annual Molesworth Run event - Approved subject to conditions.

Annual Molesworth Run starting from the Molesworth Cobb Cottage Campsite (Awatere Valley Road R.P.40.364)
Runners will turn down Molesworth Track and continue until they reach Legs ½ Transition Isolated Flat.
They will then all continue downs Molesworth Track until they reach Legs 2/3 Transition Achron River.
They will then still continuing on Molesworth Track (South) reach Clarence River Bridge, continuing until they get to Legs ¾ Transition
Clarence River.
The last Leg they continue past Jollies Pass Rd to the intersection of Top House Rd and Clarence Valley Rd. The road is closed at this point so nobody goes over Clarence Valley Rd. Runners travel along Clarence Valley Rd and down to Jack's Pass Rd intersection where the road is also closed.
Runners turn left onto Jack's Pass Rd, travel along and turn left into Chisholm Rd and finish in Chisholm Park.
