Marking a milestone

Collectively, they represent 80 years of service at Hurunui District Council.

This week, four staff members were formally acknowledged for milestone services.

Judith Batchelor, Chief Strategy and Community Officer and Vanessa Nelmes, Community Recovery Co-ordinator were each recognised for 25 years of service. Jo-Ann Retallick, PA to Mayor/Human Resources Officer and John Heaven, Maintenance Officer were each recognised for 15 years of service.

Between them, several roles within Council have been fulfilled.

Mayor Marie Black expressed huge gratitude.

“I can’t help but admire their hard work and their adaptability. For these four staff members, it is more than a job, and they demonstrate the values of the Council; integrity, commitment and respect.”
