Overgrown sections

If you have concerns about an overgrown section or property you should try to speak to the owner or occupier in the first instance.

If you think the issue is a fire hazard then you should contact Fire and Emergency New Zealand as Councils no longer have the jurisdiction to deal with Fire Hazards. You can call Fire and Emergency New Zealand on 0800 336 942 or visit their website.

While we don't get involved in complaints about overgrown vegetation, if you believe vermin are originating from a neighbouring property as a result of accumulated rubbish or food, we may be able to take action.
