Pōti Elections

Every three years elections are held when you get to vote for a Mayor and councillors. We also have the Hanmer Springs Community Board and the South Ward Community Board that will require representation.

The next elections are on Saturday 11 October 2025.

Ratepayer Elector / Non-Resident Ratepayer

If you are on the parliamentary electoral roll in one area, and pay rates on a property in our district, you are eligible for enrolment on the non-resident ratepayer roll.
Ward Boundaries

The Hurunui is broken into 3 wards: South, West and East.
