September Conduct Review Findings

At its meeting of 26 September 2019 the Hurunui District Council received a report from the Conduct Review Committee - regarding its investigation of a complaint from a member of the public.

The report found that Councillor Julia McLean breached the council’s Code of Conduct when she shared drone video footage to her Facebook page that didn’t have landowner permission.

The Committee noted the breach was at the lower end of the scale for conduct breaches.

Council considered the committee’s report and required Councillor McLean to provide an apology to the complainant.
