Due to a slip in the river, Lake Sumner Road is CLOSED.

Following the recent significant rain, conditions are perfect for the metaling of Lake Sumner Road.
Maintenance metaling operations will be carried out over various lengths of Lake Sumner Road from now until Friday 22 November 2024.
Staffed road closures are in place to prevent access to the site for safety reasons. We will be spreading 6,500 cubic metres of material - this will see several trucks moving, loading and tipping at the same time.
The road will re-open daily from 6pm to 7am, and weekends from 6pm Friday to 7am Monday, however, motorists are advised to proceed with caution.
