Ministry of Social Development: Funders of the Mayors Taskforce for Jobs - Community Employment Programme. This programme places NEETS (young people aged 16-24yrs not in education, employment, or training), people living with disabilities and other disadvantaged people into work.
The Ministry of Youth Development - Te Manatū Whakahiato Taiohi: Funders of our Hurunui Youth ‘Aspire’ programme which is part of the Hurunui Youth Programme, providing positive youth development opportunities. They encourage and support young people, aged between 12 and 24 years old to develop and use knowledge, skills and experiences to participate confidently in their communities.
Sport Canterbury / Tū Manawa Active Aotearoa: Funders of a 2024 initiative for South Ward, providing monthly games and activities as part of a collaboration with Hurunui Youth Programme and Youth Town.
Rātā Foundation: Funders of the Hurunui Youth Programme, and recently the MainPower Amberley Pool rebuild. The Rātā Foundation strives to support communities so that nothing gets in the way of its people being able to make the most of life; and together they’re able to care for each other and their environment.
Department of Internal Affairs: Funders of Together Hurunui, our Community Hub (events trailer) and our youth worker. The Community Operations section of DIA works with and for community, hapū and iwi to support the building of community connection, innovation and the empowering of local people to create positive change in their communities.

MainPower: co-funders of the 'Snack Food in Schools' initiative and the MainPower Pantry within our area schools.
COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS
Waitaha CLD Network: The network was formed late 2022 to connect community led development (CLD) practitioners for networking, peer support, growing CLD skills and knowledge, celebrate successes, resolve challenges and be a champion for CLD approaches in Waitaha / Canterbury.
Inspiring Communities: supporting and growing community led development (CLD) practices and outcomes across Aotearoa New Zealand by connecting, mentoring and supporting individuals, organisations and communities. They are experts at weaving connections and collaborations across sectors and communities.
Rerenga Awa | Canterbury Youth Workers Collective: Consists of youth workers and youth services in the province of Canterbury, and has been an Incorporated Society since 1986 with a Charitable Trust status. It exist to support those who work with youth by providing professional development, networking opportunities, accountability, information, and resource sharing.
North Canterbury Youth Futures (ncyf.co.nz) : Is a group formed to support youth pathways beyond school age, transitioning to tertiary study, employment and opportunities. It aims to showcase careers that North Canterbury offers.
Age friendly Aotearoa New Zealand: The Age friendly Aotearoa New Zealand programme is led by the Office for Seniors and provides guidance and support for communities that are exploring or committed to becoming age friendly. Council joined March 2023.
