Solicitor Enquiries
To request rating information for settlement or refinancing purposes, please email us at rates@hurunui.govt.nz, and provide the following information:
- Address of the property
- Legal description
- Name(s) of current owner
Please Note:
- Total rates for the year include ECAN regional rates and water charges. A water meter reading will not be conducted for settlement purposes.
- We will use the contact details supplied on the sale notice to update our database for correspondence and invoicing. Please ensure the information provided is current and correct.
- Any existing direct debit arrangements will be terminated when we receive the sales notice. Please advise us in writing if this is to be cancelled prior to rates@hurunui.govt.nz.
- Payments can be made directly to Hurunui District Council account number 03-0802-0946666-00 using the valuation number as the reference.
- Multiple Properties - If the new owner is an existing direct debit customer on multiple properties, within the Hurunui District, please inform them of the following: ‘This new property will not be added to their direct debit’. They will need to contact our office to make this arrangement.
