Compliance Schedule
A Compliance Schedule is a document listing specified systems in a building (such a fire alarms system, final exit, back flow Preventer, air conditioning systems) to ensure they are inspected regularly.
This is issued by the building consent authority before or with the Code Compliance Certificate (CCC).
After receiving a compliance schedule statement owners must contact an independent qualified person (IQP) as soon as possible to ensure that all inspection, maintenance, and reporting procedures are complied with for the next 12 months.
Specified Systems
A Specified system helps ensure a building is safe for people to enter.
As a building owner it is your responsibility to ensure the systems are inspected and maintained according to your compliance schedule.
Amendments of a compliance Schedule
Existing compliance schedules can be amended by both a building consent authority and a territorial authority, depending on the circumstances for which the amendment is required.
You will need to apply for an amendment to the existing compliance schedule if you want to:
- Update owner details.
- Amend the inspection, maintenance or reporting procedures.
- Advise of any specified system not included on the compliance schedule for the building.
